Alexa Egan lives in Maryland with a husband who’s waiting impatiently for her fame and fortune to support them in a new and lavish lifestyle, three children for whom she serves as chauffeur, cook, nurse, social secretary, banker, and maid (not necessarily in that order), one cat, one dog… and twenty-seven fish.
Q: How long does it take you to write a book?
A: I try to write one to two novels per year, but that schedule can change as contracts dictate.
Q: Have you always wanted to be a writer?
A: Yes, and I’ve been one since about the fourth grade. It just took me a little longer to become a published writer. J
Q: Who are some of your favorite authors?
A: The list is an extremely long one, but I have to give top billing to Mary Stewart, Jane Austen, Lois McMaster Bujold, and Robin McKinley. Four very different genres with four very different styles, but they are all amazing!
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I don’t have time for hobbies, but I do enjoy reading and curling up on the couch with my family and a big bowl of popcorn to watch movies. I can justify both those activities as muse feeding.
